Instagram is a big part of my life. I don’t even consider IG a guilty pleasure. Since I derive so much inspiration from the ubiquitous app, it’s more like a straight pleasure. Sure, I follow the occasional mid-forties female of Real Housewives stardom, however most of my follows are related to my interests: fashion, color, art, horses, words and other good stuff like that. Recently the Washington Post included me amongst some other far more worthy tastemakers in an article highlighting our favorite IG accounts. Myself and the other influencers, who included the likes of Kelly Wearstler, who ironically was almost on my list, gave up their IG crushes for all to read. While I was asked for 3 or 4, only one of my favorite accounts was included. In case you’re wondering, Kelly Wearstler’s pick was @Artsy.
Here is what I submitted originally to the post. Follow away! (Also, I just noticed that I wrote “badass” as one of my descriptive terms. Nudging the post to print “badass” is almost as ridiculous as having them print naked girls on bicycles when they photograph your home… oh wait.)
Cleo wade @cleowade
This it girl, artist, poet and overall badass has a way with words. Her quick yet powerful poetry will leave you breathless. Her favorite subjects include: being nice, being confident, love and going easy on yourself.
Aerin Lauder @aerin
Born into American beauty royalty, Aerin Lauder delivers her own brand of aspirational all-American goodness. Impeccable floral arrangements, picture perfect place settings and portraits of the beauty heir make up this must follow account.
Saut Hermès @sauthermes
This official Hermes equestrian Instagram account will have you peeling your jaw off of your iPhone screen. The beauty and power of horses are captured in this magnificent feed.
